Baqueira Beret is situated in an extraordinary natural envirnoment with sweeping valleys and imposing mountain peaks.

The surroundings are combined of the area Pallars Sobirá and the Val D'Arán situated in between valleys and mountains of breathtaking beauty. The ski resorts you encountre are Baqueira-Beret, Port Ainé, Super Espot and Tavascán. You can also enjoy the National Park of d'Aiguestortes and the riverside Noguera Pallaresa.

The Valley of d'Arán

Situated in the Pyrenees, the area of the Aran Valley is surrounded by splendid mountains and traversed by the Garona river. It is very close to the French border. Still using their own dialect, the aranés, it perfectly unites tradition with modernity, as seen in its capital Vielha.

The cultural patrimony includes the Romanesque churches of Escunhau, Salardú and Arties. The area is ideal for all sorts of winter and summer sports activities like trekking, cycling, horse riding, or for trying more extreme sports, like rafting or parachuting. All in a magnificient natural environment.

Pallars-Sobirá Baqueira-Sort Val D'Aneu

The river Noguera Pallaresca crosses the area of Pallars Sobirá, making it a splendid resort. Hills and valleys as well as hundreds of lakes make for a unique picture postcard image. Its historical and artistic patrimony is great, including Sant Lliser de Alós de Isil, the monestary of Sta. María de Gerri de la Sal and the church of San Just and Sant Pastor de Son.

The National Park of Aigüestortes

The main attraction of this park is the more then 14,000 hectares of water : Ponds, lakes, waterfalls, rivers and brooks.

The flora includes pines, firs and willow-trees, typical animals are the Royal Eagle and the Chamois also known as “Isard” and "El Urogallo".
