The Val d'Aran valley is a great place to learn how to ski or snowboard.

There are over 300 qualified ski instructors in the Baqueira resort. If you don't speak Spanish, it's is a good idea to ask for an English speaking instructor. There are about 10 in the resort.

Private ski and snowboard lessons as well as group tuition are available for everyone. Lessons are also available for children, as long as they are over three years of age. All children under the age of 11 will receive special discounts.

If you are there with friends or family, or want to meet new people, taking ski or snowboard lessons in a group is good idea. It certainly is a lot of fun.

There are numerous schools in the area. Some specialise in skiing, while others focus on snowboarding. It's always best to check in advance if they have English-speaking instructors, especially if your Spanish isn't too good.

Please respect all the rules of ski-station and the signals on the differnt slopes. It is for the security of yourself and the others.

Please observe all slopes and take the level with adapts best to your level.

It is important to warm up before your first descent.

Do revise all your equipment before your go for the slopes.

Children always have to wear a helmet.
