The nights in the Aran Valley around Baqueira Beret are intese and offer a wide variety of entertainment until the early hours of the morning. But there are also many places where to spend a comfortable and relaxing evening.

After awe-inspiring day on the slopes of the Pyrenees, skiers normally meet up between 6 pm and 9 pm for tapas. The action gets going in the Baquiera Beret's hotel bars and in the local village bars.

Vielha is an excellent tapas spot. There are over ten tapas bar here. They can become packed (shoulder to shoulder) during the peak season. Two very popular bars are Bar Neguri and Dues Portes. You will find these on the main road that passes through the town. Here you will also find a busy night life.

Bar Era Place is another popular spot and is located on the town square. It has a lively atmosphere, and also can get quite packed. Skiers and snowboarders come here to let their hair down, chill out and party.

Bar Urtau is well know for serving excellent tapas and has become an increasingly popular choice with both Spanish and international visitors. It is located in Arties.

Urtau has every kind of tapa you could think of. You quite simply grab a plate, and serve yourself whatever looks the most appetising. The bar is enormous. Good atmosphere and great wine too.

The main clubs in Baqueira are Tiffany, Tuc Nere and Pacha. These clubs attract an older crowd. Most people are 25 years and up. Pacha tends to attract the slightly lower age ranges.

In Vielha, the main nightclubs are Vielha Dance Club and Elurra Disco. The crowds here tend to be younger than in Baqueira. Eth Clot is a lively spot; it's a music bar that gets seriously crowded on Friday and Saturday nights.

Arties is a good place for late night music. The main places here are: La Luna, Millenium, Devino and the 1844. Most of these places get going at around midnight and keep going till 3 or 4 in the morning. Before this, they can seem quite empty, so it's often best to arrive late.
