Your note
In the year 2000, the IAGTO (International Association of Golf Tour Operators) voted the Catalonia Pyrenees /Costa Brava region as the best upcoming golf destination.
The Spanish Open was held here in the same year. It took place in the PGA Catalunya course, which was designed by Chris Coles.
In the Catalonia Pyrenees/Costa Brava region, you will now find nine first class golf courses, along with eight pitch and putt courses spread throughout the area.
Visitors to Baqueira Beret will be happy to know, that membership is not necessary. To play here, all you need is to be a member of a club in your own country. Prices can be quite expensive at about 60 to 70 euros to play eighteen holes in peak season.
